The Horror!

So, We've all been there, you ran a defrag or rebooted you're pc and the horror strikes you. Your partition table has done a 360 into oblivion!

Now you try the repair options in your windows os.

• You do the last known good configuration
• You stick in the windows os cd and try a repair

Ok Stop! Remember the biggest rule here..

• Take the drive out of the machine
• Hook it up in a external enclosure and go to another machine with it.

Now it really depends here on what the problem is.

If you have issues with you're partition table. The chances are it will not get mounted when the enclosure is hook into the other machine. If you click on the drive letter it wants to reformat it, which you don't do!

You still have a chance at this point to pull the data off the machine. It's called RAW data file recovery.

Now if you do a search, the average price for this software is approx $65 USD.
