iFlute my iPhone - Ocarina a flute like instrument.

So if I blow into my microphone, my iPhone plays a flute like sound! Oh my. It's true, a prof at Standford and his co-founded company Smule, introduced Ocarina during this years Macworld 2009. It's the first ever iPhone instrument and it is sensitive to your breath, touch and movements. It makes you truely feel like you are actually playing a real instrument.

The Ocarina song book available at Smule, includes Songs for the Holidays, Pop and Rock favorites and my more.

You can play and share with people around the world, by tapping on the globe icon, which it then connects you to other players from around the world. Ocarina is a musical social app. Or a personal app, as you just sit back in a quiet room and tinker around.

You'll need to upgrade your first gen iPhone Firmware to iPhone 2.2, as Ocarina is optimized for the iPhone 3g.

Google is working hard to keep your iPhone sync'd!

From the official Google GMAIL blog.

It looks like Google is working hard to make the iPhone more business friendly, well more small business friendly. Large corporations still side in the RIM camp when it comes down to business functionality, but for small business that use, Gmail as their way of communicating and keeping contact's organized. Gmail now has mobile sync which allows you to sync you iPhone with your Gmail contacts. Now lets point out that Google Sync beta is not just for the iPhone, it's just the spin the Gmail blog puts on it, hoping to attract iPhone users with limited contact organization with their phones.

It's also noted that user should back up contacts already on the iphone, as it's doesn't do a merge operation, its a complete refresh of the contacts.

This is the notes for the GMAIL post:
  • iPhone users: Google Sync will remove all existing contacts and calendar events from your phone, so make sure to back up (PC instructions, Mac instructions) your data before you set it up.
  • Remove contacts that you don't want to sync to your phone. From the "My Contacts" section of the contact manager, select the contact you want to remove, click "Groups" and then "Remove from My Contacts."
  • Merge duplicates so friend@theirgmailaddress.com and samefriend@theirworkaddress.com both belong to the same contact. To do so, select both contacts, and click "Merge these 2 contacts." When you merge contacts, your address auto-complete won't work as well as before. We're working on a fix for this, but until that's out you might notice addresses showing up in a suboptimal order in auto-complete, e.g. your friend's work address coming up first when you're used to emailing their Gmail address.
Maybe someday soon, the iPhone will be able to compete one on one with the Blackberries in the corporate market place.

iBeer! Does anyone make anything worth while for the iPhone?

As a follow up to my last look at the top app in the Apple App Store - iFart.. iBEER is climbing the charts. iBeer the makers of iMilk and iMuchies - for the iPhone stoners! Has me wondering, does anyone really make a useful iPhone application anymore. Or is everything a gimic! I guess the iBeer is less fattening! Geez, How about iSex.. Just make sure you have you wet wipes handy.

It does a good job of using the tilt sensors, shake it up and the beer froths, tip it to drink, and when you've finished your iBeer, Let out a huge burp, followed by and iFart.

Hopefully everyone is having a safe and Happy Holiday Season!

Is 2008's most popular iPhone App a stinking pile of crap?

Okay, so we've all felt like we wanted to be 4 again, and sometimes it's good for the soul, for .99 cents. You too can be a juvenile preschooler again. While you're sitting in the waiting room at your local practitioner why not let an iFart loose, just to see the faces of disgust of the rest of the waiting roomers.

It may not be a pretty and sophisticated app, and it doesn't say much for what an iPhone can really be used to accomplish, but it's still the most downloaded paid.. yes paid app in the Apple App Store.

My .99 cents is better spent on my morning coffee, and if you want, give me a buck and I'll let one rip and give you the full fragrant effect for free!

What the Twitters are saying:
The best-selling iPhone app is iFart? Makes me embarrassed to own an iPhone.

Current #1 selling iPhone app: iFart Mobile. Sophisticated users my ass.

@ifart this app is awesome. I wish we could record some of our own quality farts. When do we see iBelch?

@maloman we are going to start a support group for it.. ifarters anonymous

No Cut and Paste with your iPhone, Open Clip

Release 2.1 for the iPhone software, breaks some functionality in OpenClip. Open clips provides cut and paste functionality, something that almost every modern gadget has included as part of it's operating system, but not the iphone.
What seemed to have been a solution, has been snuffed out by the almight Apple company. It might not have been the target of the firmware update, but it's seems to be a trend that has seen application bounced off the appstore. Even if you don't break the developer agreement, you can be deemed unworthy and kicked to the gutter.
Blackberry has cut and paste. Why doesn't the iPhone. OpenClip filled a void, and thier latest blog posting, states that not all it's functionality has been nixed! They will be looking at ways around the current 2.1 patched that blocked the way the clipboard stored the cut.  see more at OpenClip

iPhone Porn on the rise! Jobs say no way.. but can he stop it?

CAN APPLE INC, STOP THE PORN INDUSTRY!
Jobs would love to never see a naked girl on his baby the iPhone, but can he stop it? It's most likely a losing battle.

1. He's blocked any application from the iphone apps store on itunes.
2. He would need to stop the ability to jailbrake the iphone, stopping rouge applications from being installed.
3. He would need to create a blacklisted web-site list, and code the safari mobile browser to keep you off NON-Apple certified sites. This can be done, just like netNanny applications created for the PC market to keep kids safe from internet materials.

It's most likely never going to happen and sites like http://www.onetapporn.com (Warning 18+ ONLY) will continue to be created to stream .MP4 files to your iphone on the browser.

Get your iPod and iTouch learning your music tastes!

One of the more useful features which many new music networks incorporate today is a learning algorithm; the more music you listen to and rate, the better the program gets at compiling playlists tailored to your taste. Think Last.fm, think Pandora. Instinctiv Shuffle brings this capability to your iPod Touch or iPhone (it has to be jail broken first though). Once you’ve downloaded and installed the app, Instinctiv will automatically fashion playlists based on your listening patterns; you don’t have to vote or rate anything, as it is your music after all.

Iphone - iGirl or iWash i'm feeling dirty!

http://www.clubwesttv.com/ - iWash

FREE -iGirl DOWNLOAD HERE

to Download the file..just right click above link and Save link as.

1) Synchronizing iVirtuaGirl
Right click on the link above, choose "Save As" and download the video.Double-click on it. iTunes will open and play it.Put your iPhone in the cradle until above sync window shows up.Go to the video tab. Check the box that says iVirtuaGirl_VickyS . Sync your iPhone.

2) Performing iVirtuaGirl
Click the home button on your iPhone. Click the iPod button (bottom right). Hit “videos”. Select iVirtuaGirl_VickyS. You’ll be playing a video. You’ll see a fake home screen (all part of the video) for 5 seconds. Now is a good time to show the screen and tell someone that this thing is voice activated by saying “Stripper”. Once your victim yells “Stripper” the show starts.

Even better yet!! Get VirtualGirl for you're desktop and they dance all day!! Get more Girls and iGirls now! Always updated, Always more girls

From Uncovered search results, I've notice a lot of people trying to find iGirl or iWash. Both of these two movie clips are funny little . Play on your iPhone as movies. These are not screen savers, and you probably won't see them as such, until iPhone SDK is release. Still really funny!

It does bring up the interesting point, what will they think of next. Is the iPhone going to be littered with porn clips? With the SDK upcoming release, will the iPhone and iPod Touch become the next portable gaming platform.

The iPhone has just claimed "Most used" platform for mobile web searches, and that says that the public views this device as portable media access device over just a plain old cell phone.

So why doesn't someone develope an iPet, so I have something else to look after!
